Designing and verifying is free; the payment point is the moment you take real files with you. A failed verification never charges you.

The download button unlocks only after both the logic gate (simulation) and the electrical gate (ERC · DRC) pass. A conversion that does not pass is never billable.
L2 is billed once per project; L3 once per production conversion. Re-converting the same L2 project costs nothing extra.
ibouPCB does not manufacture boards. The output is standard formats (Gerber · BOM · CPL · KiCad) you can use anywhere; the cost of making a physical board is not part of the fee.

FAQ
Before you download the files, always — in full. After download, we refund or re-run the conversion when the output itself is defective (Gerbers that do not open in the manufacturer's viewer, DRC results that differ from the report). Behaviour on a physical board belongs to physical verification and is not a refund reason.
Everything a student or hobbyist needs — simulator, analysis, verification — is already in Free. Students buying Maker can email us from a school address for a discount code.
No. The fee covers conversion, verification and file generation. Making the physical board costs extra and does not go through ibouPCB.
Billing is per project, so anyone on your team can open and work on the same project. There is no seat limit.
Yes. The 2D board viewer, the verification report and the list of auto-inserted parts (with the reason each one was added) are all visible on Free. The preview is watermarked; only the manufacturing file downloads require Maker or above.
What you see is launch pricing. Any change is announced at least 30 days in advance and never applies retroactively to projects you have already paid for.
Upload one sketch and the pin map and verification report come straight back. Paying comes later, if ever.
